A bit about me

Read about where I started, the celebrities I have photographed, and how I became a professional wedding photographer!

I’ve been a professional photographer for 25 years. For the first fifteen or so years, I shot celebrity photography for OK! Magazine. I also photographed for the BBC, Strictly Come Dancing, Comic Relief and various publications. I had a ball, travelling all over the world capturing events and weddings.

Editorial work lead me to weddings as I wanted to create a more honest kind of photography, documenting authentic moments and making photographs that will be cherished and revisited over the years.

I'm not interested in old-fashioned, posed and awkward wedding photos. I like relaxed, photography which shows real moments and genuine laughs.

Because I take time beforehand to get to know you – your likes and dislikes, your lifestyle and expectations – you will more feel relaxed in front of the camera, and confident in getting results you’ll be thrilled with.

My photography style is a documentary and candid approach. I will capture your whole day but will not be asking you to march here or pose there. I will take care of every detail and will be focusing on making you look fabulous.

I love meeting new people and having a good laugh with them, usually about something really silly and childish. Recently a wedding couple said, ‘you said you’d just fit in with the guests, and that is exactly what you did. We really enjoyed having you there’.

My five favourite moments from past weddings:

  • Standing on bar stools with Wayne Rooney and his mates, dancing to Dolly Parton’s, 9 to 5, the night before his wedding. (Very hungover on the day of the wedding)
  • Panic-sewing Mel B’s ripped organza shoulder straps, whilst she wore the wedding dress, five minutes before her ceremony.
  • A gorgeous blonde bride’s pants falling down to her ankles as she said her vows in a very packed church.
  • Getting a £500 cash tip (in a roll) from a very lovely and generous couple who loved their pictures. (I went so red)
  • Trying to remember which layer to get the bride and groom to cut, after their wedding cake had collapsed without them knowing, and the hotel had quietly rebuilt it using a cardboard dummy cake. Just one layer was real cake. (total relief when I remembered the correct layer) (they never knew).
